Note to self: If I ever open a restaurant I want to make sure I have a website so that people can read all about me and see my menu. I also will not be cheesy and take a picture of my menu and put it on Facebook. And one more thing I must make sure to have good signage. The End.

OK Where was I at. Oh Yeah Brewmasters.

From my understanding this place has changed hands once or twice and has, is it fair to say, struggled a bit. It’s a shame with the beautiful location and proximity to a lot of towns and customers. As I have stated in the past I get a lot of restaurant suggestions and people I know are always telling me their opinions as well. So before even coming here I had a preconceived notion this place was gonna suck.

As I have already said it has great location. From the outside it just looks like a regular bar. With the lack of signage and all, I left my family in the car while I did a little reconnaissance to make sure it wasn’t just a gin mill. Once inside it looks as if they have done some nice work in there. The place smells like cedar, it is open and airy. Nice touch with the butcher block paper on the tables. The two girls workin the floor were hustling, friendly and right on time.

We first ordered an appetizer sampler (3 choices for $9) cheese sticks, fried pickles and corn fritters. Next I had a salad with Italian Dressing. The salad was righteous, no visible iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, croutons, a little cheese. The dressing was exceptional and this coming from someone who is not that impressed with salads. When you go there order the Italian Dressing and thank me later.

Next, I had a ribeye with mashed potatoes and French cut green beans. The ribeye was perfectly cooked (medium) seasoned, juicy and kissed with a little fire. The mashed potatoes were buttery awesome and the green beans were well …green beans.

Finally, I had crème brulee. My favorite of the dessert family and was surprised to see it as a special. It was nicely executed. I loved the delicious vanilla bean custard interior and the torched glass-like crust. In addition, I was with other people as well and tried the Chicken Alfredo and the Cajun Chicken Pasta. Both I would recommend and order myself.

According to the Big Food Jerk.

Boy was I wrong and I disagree with the naysayers chirpin in my ear. I highly, strongly recommend this joint! I have eaten at and reviewed around 25 restaurants recently and would put this in the top 3 a close top 3 contender. The place, the service, and the food is good. It is reasonably priced. If I didn’t have to eat at different restaurants all the time Brewmasters would be a regular spot. The woman running the place is doing a great job. Go there, eat there and see for yourself. You’re missing out if you don’t. I guarantee!
